Whisper 1000W Wind Generator
with supplemental solar input connection
and long distance capability
Whisper wind generators are made by World Power Technology.
These are designed for gusty wind areas and marine environments. Main frame rotor
shaft and boom are stainless steel. Tilt-up governor does not rely on springs and
needs no adjustment. Rotor is made of high strength light weight injection-molded
material that is fiber reinforced. Bearings are sealed and permanently
lubricated. Generator comes with the EZ-Wire System Center which provides battery
charge control for the wind generator plus other functions. Made in USA.
Turbine is a cast aluminum design that incorporates a unique
Patented side furling "angle governor" for over-speed protection. Output
of the turbine is three-phase AC power. Power is transmitted to the EZ wire where it
is converted to DC. Voltage is switchable in the field.
This unit is similar to the H80-PV except that the generator is
designed to produce a higher 220 volts ac. The EZ-Wire System Center is supplied
with a step-down transformer to reduce the voltage at the receiving end. This higher
voltage between the generator and the receiving end reduces the current and voltage drop
allowing distances of over 1000 feet between the two locations.
