These inverters convert 12 Vdc from a vehicle electrical system or stationary battery source into 110-120 Vac for operating standard household appliances. The inverters on this page do NOT have an integral battery charger. To use during a power outage, the appliance must be plugged in and the inverter switched on. If an integral battery charger and automatic transfer upon loss of normal power is needed, use one of our extended run time UPS systems. All the inverters listed below can be used in NoOutage configuration A1. The larger sizes can also be used in configuration A2. Or these can be used for RVs, campers or in stationary applciations such as off-grid alternative energy systems.
Tripp Lite Inverters

Sine Wave Inverters
These inverters produce a nearly perfect sine wave output and can power anything
that a 120V wall outlet can power with less noise and losses than modified sine
wave inverters.

Cherokee/Sima Inverters
These Cherokee inverters (except for the TS-2500) come with dc cables for
temporarily connecting to your vehicle battery.
If you want to permanently
install the inverter in a vehicle we recommend you purchase the SK-200
dc cable & fuse kit further below for easy installation.
These inverters are a perfect low-cost way to provide ac power for intermittent
needs such as home backup power, camping, RV or boating.

Isolation
Transformers
These two-winding isolation transformers allow you to connect low-cost
inverters to residential wiring systems that have neutral-to-ground bonds.
These bonds would otherwise cause the inverter to fail or the GFI protection to
cause the inverter to shutdown. To prevent risk of back feed into the
utility supply you must use a transfer switch. See NoOutage.com Configuration
A2 as an example.
