Meter Panel
Electronic Bar Graph Meters
(2)Voltage & (2)Wattage

Don't operate your backup or alternative power electrical system blind!  Install and connect this high-tech microprocessor controlled meter to easily monitor your electrical loading at a glance.

NEMA 1 enclosure is 8" x 8" x 4" deep, made of #16 gauge steel and comes with 1/2", 3/4" and 1" knockouts.  Hinged front cover is supplied ready for cutting rectangular hole to mount meter.  Enclosure is UL Listed and CSA certified.  For maximum meter life we do not recommend direct mounting of enclosure on engine driven generators due to vibration.  Mount separately on an indoor wall.

Two voltmeter indicators and two wattmeter indicators provide simultaneous display of parameters for both hot legs of a 120/240VAC system.  Meter is rectangular, 5% accuracy and fits into rectangular hole in cover and is held in place with an included metal spring clip.   Barrier type terminal block included for easier wiring.  You must cut hole for meter and mount and wire components.  Depending on the type of wire, you must supply properly sized cord grips or strain relief connectors.

Operation

Voltages from the generator, voltages from the generator current sensors, and a voltage from the utility mains are applied to the appropriate inputs to the meter. The meter acquires these signals, performs scaling and other math functions, and outputs voltage and real power (wattage) results to the display board by lighting particular LED segments.  The power is calculated internally by multiplying the amps and volts with an assumed power factor of 1.0.

The outboard LEDs display generator voltage. A green LED indicates the generator voltage is within +/- 5% of 125 VAC, a yellow LED indicates within +/- 10%, and a red LED indicates a voltage outside of +/- 10%.

The inboard LED bar graphs display generator power. The segments are marked with their appropriate wattages to a resolution of approximately 5% of maximum power.  Segments are green up to 85% of maximum power. Between 90% and 100%, the segments are yellow. A red segment indicates power draw above 100%.
