Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)
OmniSmart UPS Systems' AVR feature keeps your computer working through low voltage
(brownouts) and high voltage conditions indefinitely, without using battery power.
This is becoming more of a concern with new changes in the utility industry.
Abnormally low and high voltage conditions are created within your building by increased
local demand on your power circuits (from copiers, air conditioners and industrial
equipment) or by inadequate utility company service. OmniSmart's built-in
micro-processor constantly monitors incoming voltages. When it detects high or low
voltage, OmniSmart adjusts it to ensure your connected equipment receives only regulated,
computer-grade power. OmniSmart UPS Systems constantly maintain their battery
charge, even while regulating voltage, so they are always ready to support your computer
when blackouts occur. All models feature a convenient battery
replacement door which saves the hassle of returning a UPS for battery replacement and
service.
Complete Power Protection
OmniSmart give you everything you need to protect your computer system in a single box.
OmniSmart provides complete protection against all types of power problems
(brownouts, blackouts, surges and line noise). AVR supports your equipment during
brownouts. The battery backup gives you time to save your open files and safely shut
down your computer in the event of a prolonged brownout or a blackout. In addition,
all AC outlets stop damaging lightning and surges. Models smaller than 850 VA also
protect your modem and other communications hardware against surges on up to two phone
lines. $50,000 Ultimate Lifetime Insurance coverage guarantees your critical
equipment will stay safe from surge damage for life! UL Listed.
Automatic Data Protection
OmniSmart UPS Systems save your data during a blackout, even when you
aren't there! Each model features a built-in serial port which connects the
OmniSmart to any PC, workstation or server. Use with FREE PowerAlert software and
cabling to automatically save your open files and shutdown equipment during a blackout.
When the power fails, PowerAlert waits for a user-specified length of time, then
saves your active data files first, before closing application
and operating system software. This preserves all of your work, regardless of the
last time your files were saved. After Power Alert shuts down your equipment, the
UPS automatically shuts down to conserve battery power.
