Skystream™ 3.7 Grid Tie
1800W Wind Generator
120/240Vac 60Hz
BEFORE
CONTACTING US ABOUT THIS PRODUCT CLICK HERE
Skystream 3.7™ is a breakthrough in a
new generation of RPA’s (Residential Power Appliances) that will change the energy landscape of how homes and
small businesses receive electricity. Skystream is the first fully integrated system that produces energy for less
than the average cost of electricity in the United States and it produces usable
energy in exceptionally low winds.1 Skystream is available on towers ranging
from 35’ (10.67m) to 110’ (33.5m).2 Its universal inverter will deliver power
compatible with any utility grid from 110-240 VAC.3 Skystream will efficiently
and silently provide up to 100% of the energy needs for a home or small business. Any extra energy is fed into
the grid spinning the meter backwards.4
From an electrical standpoint the Skystream is
simple to install. Since the inverter is integrated into the nacelle at
the top of the tower a single set of wires can be directly connected to your
ac electrical system. No battery bank is required. Click the
thumbnail below to see how simple it is to connect the Skystream.
Enjoy the benefits of utility power while reducing your electric bill every time the wind blows! It’s been a dream of many homeowners and now it is possible.
Skystream can significantly reduce or even eliminate your monthly electrical bill.
Keep in mind, these systems are not for everyone. If you live in an urban or city environment or if your State does not allow the use of small systems to connect to the grid then it is likely a grid-tied wind system will not work for you. However, according to U.S. census data, there are more than 17 million homes in America that could use a Whisper Link system. Is your home one of them?
Is the Skystream right for me? If you are unsure, then review the
criteria below and also our wind information page (click here for our wind information page) for more
details.
SITE CRITERIA
| 1. |
Adequate Wind Resource:
Average wind speed of at least 10 mph. See wind maps on our wind
information page. You can also put up wind instrumentation to
measure the wind resource at your site. Click here for our wind
information page and our wind
measurement instrumentation. |
| 2. |
Minimal Obstructions: Top of
tower should be a minimum of 20 feet higher than any surrounding object
within a 300 foot radius. |
| 3. |
Suitable Zoning: Tower must
comply with local zoning regulations and any Home Owner Association
rules. A building permit may be required for tower and electrical
work. |
| 4. |
Utility Interconnection: Local
utility must allow for grid interconnection. The 1979 Federal
PURPA act requires power companies to accommodate small generator
interconnections. Contact your local power company for any special
requirements. |
| 5. |
Electricity Cost: For wind
power to be competitive your utility company should be charging at least
$0.10/kWh. Review your electricity bill and divide total cost by
total kWh. |
