WORLD POWER TECHNOLOGIES, INC. LIMITED WARRANTY
World Power Technologies, Inc., warrants the newly manufactured wind generator and
EZ-WIRE System Center and transformer described in this Owners Manual to be free from
defects in material and workmanship for a period of time ending either two years after the
date on which the wind generator was shipped to the end user or three years after shipment
of the wind generator from the World Power Technologies, Inc., factory, whichever period
of time ends first. The term "end user" means anyone seeking to make a warranty
claim against World Power Technologies, Inc. In order to make a warranty claim, the end
user must be registered with World Power Technologies and the registration information
must include the serial number and sufficient information to verify the date of receipt of
the machine by the end user. Use the return form included in this manual to register your
system.
This warranty does not cover damage to the wind generator resulting from alteration,
acts of the Almighty, accident, misuse, improper installation, operation, or maintenance,
failure to conduct periodic inspections and perform periodic maintenance or any other act,
occurrence or omission. This Owner's Manual describes installation, operation, inspection
and maintenance procedures and requirements. Service Bulletins will be issued if World
Power Technologies, Inc., believes it is necessary to amend or supplement these procedures
and requirements.
This warranty does not apply if the wind generator is operated without a load or
without all of its factory supplied components included in the base price of the wind
generator;, including but not limited to the EZ-WIRE System Center, propeller, tail stalk
and fin, tower attachment mounting sleeves, etc. This warranty does not cover
balance-of-system components which may have been supplied by World Power Technologies,
Inc. but manufactured by others including, but not limited to, solar PV panels, inverters,
batteries, mounting systems, instrumentation, etc. Balance-of-system components may or may
not be covered by their manufacturer's warranty.
If a valid claim is made pursuant to this warranty, as determined solely by World Power
Technologies, Inc., in its reasonable judgment, World Power Technologies, Inc., will, at
its sole option, repair or replace the defective parts or components free of charge.
Warranty repairs will be made at the World Power Technologies, Inc., factory or another
location designated by World Power Technologies, Inc. The end user must return the entire
wind generator (or, if authorized by World Power Technologies, Inc., specified components)
to the factory or other designated location, properly packed and with all freight and any
insurance charges prepaid. All shipping and insurance costs, as well as any duties, fees,
taxes, and import charges, incurred as a result of returning the repaired or replacement
wind generator or components to the end user are to be paid by the end user.
THE SOLE REMEDY OF THE END USER UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL BE AS EXPRESSLY SET
FORTH IN THE PRECEDING PARAGRAPH. WORLD POWER TECHNOLOGIES, INC., MAKES NO EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL WORLD POWER TECHNOLOGIES, INC., BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE WIND GENERATOR AND/OR
FACTORY INCLUDED COMPONENTS FOR ANY PURPOSE WHATSOEVER.
Some governmental jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of end user
rights or damages. The end user may have rights in addition to those given in this limited
warranty.
