Zenith ZTX series Automatic Transfer Switches
Residential and light commercial applications

Powered by TruONE™ technology, Zenith ZTX series automatic transfer switches incorporate switch and controller in one seamless, self-contained unit, reducing the number of wires and connections. This design saves room in the enclosure and minimizes the potential for connection failures. In addition, the design incorporates modular components to reduce downtime and service costs.

Easy to Install and Commission - Start up in minutes, not hours
The new Zenith ZTX series weighs up to 30% less than comparable ATS models but has up to 25% more wire-bending space, making it especially easy for contractors to install. Once sources are connected, an innovative auto-configure function via the HMI sets electrical system parameters in seconds. Because of breakthrough ABB technology, no additional control wiring or troubleshooting is required on-site. And any programming changes can be done from the HMI with a few keystrokes, making commissioning quick and painless. You can even configure Zenith ZTG on site before installation – using a laptop with Ekip Connect software, even without any external power supply.

Continuous Operation - Minimize unplanned outages
Zenith ATS solutions are tested to last 3,000 to 6,000 cycles. Based on 10 transfers per month, that’s up to 50 years of reliable operation! If things ever do go wrong, all critical modules are customer-replaceable to simplify service and significantly reduce downtime and service costs. Say goodbye to losing the lights or closing business due to an unplanned outage.

NOTES:
1) The
Override momentary Source 1 Outage time delay prevents nuisance generator starts during momentary utility power variations; transfer time delay allows generator set to stabilize before load is applied; Transfer from Source 2 to Source 1 delay prevents needless power interruption if return of utility power is momentary; Generator stop delay allows gradual generator set cool down; Drop out Voltage sensing of utility supply provides reliable starting of generator set during brownout conditions.
2) This switch is not service entrance rated.  This generally means that you need a service entrance rated device between this switch and your power company meter.
3) The standard ZTX contactor comes with 2 power poles to switch the two hot leads of a 120/240V system.  It does NOT switch the neutral, which is acceptable in most areas of the USA.  If there are special requirements in your area that require switching the neutral (as dictated by local codes or electrical inspectors) contact us for a quote.
4) Two normally open auxiliary contacts (1 on the utility and 1 on the emergency contactor) are available as an option.  These can be used for remote indication of the switch position or to turn off loads that should not run when on generator power (such as large heat pumps or central air conditioners).  To order use the drop-down menu.
5) WIRING - This switch provides a single isolated contact for controlling the genset.  The contact closes when the genset is to start and run.
