Manual Transfer Panel
with neutral switching

The sequentially-switched neutral means you can switch between a portable generator and utility power without the danger of sending 240 Volts to a 120V circuit.

The New Reliance Panel/Link X Series is a double-pole manual transfer switch with an exclusive third-pole for the neutral that switches sequentially. The X Series is perfect for use with generators having GFCI protected full power outlets, bonded neutral generators and installations requiring a separately-derived system as defined in the National Electric Code.

This product works with portable generators that have GFCI protection on all outlets.  This is a new requirement in Canada and in the USA for portable generators designed to comply with OSHA requirements for construction sites.

On GFI protected generators, the X Series will prevent false sensing of a ground fault which will, in turn, prevent the circuit breaker on the generator from nuisance tripping.

The XRC Series has 10 branch circuit spaces and will allow up to 18 circuits with the use of tandem breakers. If you need more circuits, the XRR Series is also available and allows for 26/36 branch circuits and is available in indoor and outdoor enclosures. Options include a selection of watt meters, for balancing generator load, and flanged inlets for direct generator connection where permitted.

For use with:

     * GFI-equipped generators
     * Bonded neutral generators
     * Separately-derived systems

Like the TRC, the XRC is for installations that require more capacity for heavier loads of 25 amps or more, such as electric water heaters, electric ranges, well pumps, motors, commercial refrigeration, heat pumps and central air conditioning.  Suitable for use with larger generators.  This panel may be sub-fed from the existing building service panel. However it is NOT normally suitable for use as service entrance equipment.  Supplied with a double pole utility breaker and a double pole generator breaker that are interlocked to prevent both from being closed at the same time.  This eliminates the danger of backfeeding to the utility, endangering utility repair crews.  It also prevents utility power from feeding into your generator and causing damage.  Allows manual transfer of individual loads to prevent overloading generator.  The installer selects the the proper size branch breakers to add to this panel.  Power inlet receptacle and generator meters all provided in panel.

Standard features include NEMA 1 indoor cabinet suitable for surface or flush mounting, split neutral feature which places a neutral next to each circuit breaker, heavy duty copper bus bars and adjustable trim.  Service entrance rated which allows this to be connected directly to your power company meter.  Accommodates up to ten 1 inch branch circuit breakers or as many as 18 combination 1/2 inch and 1 inch circuit breakers.   This panel is UL and cUL Listed for use with any of the following circuit breakers:

Provided with preinstalled generator breaker, main utility breaker, two meters for generator watts, and male twist lock power inlet receptacle (where indicated).  Made in USA
