15A Manual Transfer Switch
This is a very economical way to properly and safely connect
any portable generator to your home. And no special cords are
required. Any standard 3-prong 15 amp extension cord works with this
switch! And for a small additional charge we include an outdoor power
inlet box so you don't have to leave a window or door open to get that
generator cord to the switch.
Easy to install and operate, connects inverter or portable generator to
residential load center. Allows manual transfer of individual loads to prevent
overloading backup source. Each individual circuit can be transferred separately
and only as needed. Required in many areas to prevent inadvertent backfeeding of
electric power into utility system which can be a safety hazard.
4 single-pole, 120 volt circuits, 15 amps maximum per circuit, 15 amps maximum
combined load at 125 volts. Not suitable for powering 240 volt loads. Each
circuit provided with non-defeatable (break-before-make) double throw switch protected
with a resettable circuit breaker. Male 5-15P power
inlet receptacle for standard 15 amp 3-prong type extension cord connection to backup source, 1875 watt maximum.
Convenience outlet that is "live" under backup power. The 1/2 x 18 inch
flexible conduit is pre-wired for easy connection to existing residential load center
panel. Installs in less than an hour, without pulling the electric meter or
installing a sub-panel. Suitable only for circuits protected with up to 20 amp
breakers or fuses. UL listed and CSA certified. NEMA 1 indoor surface mount

For installations where the building electrical panel is located indoors and
generator is located outdoors. Eliminates need for open window or door for generator
cord. Raintight NEMA 3R box with four combination 1/2" and 3/4" knockouts:
one each side, bottom and back. Standard straight-blade 3-prong 15 amp
120V power inlet receptacle for extension cord connection to generator. UL
listed and CSA certified. Exclusive 24 month warranty.

Note that this box is suitable for wet locations when the cover is
closed and cable is NOT plugged in. This is usually not a problem since
portable generators should not be operated outside in bad weather anyway.
