Whether you are home or away, the 01931 Automatic Home Generator System provides fully automatic protection from power outages.  Advanced electronics continually monitor utility power.  When an outage occurs, it starts the generator and automatically switches from utility power to generator power.  Electrical power is restored without effort, in seconds.  When utility power is restored, the system senses it, transfers service back to the utility, shuts down the generator and resumes monitoring.  It's all automatic.  No worries, no hassles.  Made in USA

Premium 570cc Briggs & Stratton Vanguard V-Twin Overhead Valve Engine
Commercial quality engine specially designed for long-life operation on NG (natural gas) or LP (liquified propane vapor).  These fuels are readily available, clean and environmentally friendly.

Quiet operation
Sound-absorbing panels and an automotive muffler keep sound to neighborhood-friendly levels.

Seven-day exerciser
Runs generator for 20 minutes once every seven days (day and time determined by homeowner) to keep unit in top operating condition.

Fully protected
Heavy-gauge metal exterior with lockable access doors, no exposed fasteners, and corrosion-resistant powder-coat painted sheet metal.  Comes with polymer installation pad -- no need for concrete pad saves you installation time and money.

Built-in Diagnostic Center with remote status and diagnostic panel

Automatic Transfer Switches

Fully Automatic
All of our switches monitor utility and generator voltages and will automatically connect to the appropriate source of power.  The 100 amp and 200 amp switches are capable of "whole house" power transfer in residential and small business applications.  For whole house applications the switch amp rating must equal or exceed the utility service rating.

Exclusive Design
Each switch is custom made and dedicated exclusively for Briggs & Stratton Power Products Home Standby Generators, reducing overall cost and giving you exactly what you need for your home or small business.

Supervisory Control
These industrial grade component features a control panel with red and green LED lights indicating the power sources available, and two relay operated contacts that allow the user to manage external loads during a power outage.  These are useful for shutting down loads that may be too large for the generator such as central air conditioning or heat pumps.

EEPROM Memory
Non-volatile memory, so when the power goes out, the transfer switch remembers its programming.  Switch never has to be reprogrammed once it is installed.

Variable Engine Warm Up
All switch models feature a choice of two warm up periods - 20 seconds for warm weather starts and 50 seconds when the generator requires additional start time in colder climates.

Safety Features
All switch models are solenoid-operated from utility or generator inputs and contain electrical interlock switches to eliminate the possibility of dangerous back feed to utility during an outage.  Switches are listed to UL Standard 1008.
