This tower is specifically designed for the Skystream
wind turbine. It is a one-piece taper tube design that requires NO
guy wires for structural support. So it is ideal for small sites.
Requires a concrete foundation with eight anchor bolts.

Designs in accordance with IBC 2003 for two types of
concrete reinforced foundations can be provided. These are based on a
maximum 140 mph wind speed at hub height. A Professional Engineer
registered in the state where the project is located shall assume
responsibility for the site-specific design. The Professional Engineer
shall assure design suitability for varying site and soil conditions such as
soil classifications, water table, existence of expansive/collapsible soils,
susceptibility to liquefaction, frost depth, etc. Concrete work shall be
in conformance with the requirements set forth in ACI 301/318 and shall have a
minimum 28-day strength of 2,500 psi and 5% air entrapment. See design

Pier Type Foundation
The concrete pier dimensions are 2 feet diameter and 5 feet deep to 11 feet
deep, depending on soil characteristics. A reinforcing steel cage made
from ASTM A-615 Grade 60 must be embedded in the concrete.
Mat Type Foundation
The concrete mat dimensions are 6 feet square and 3 feet deep. Two mats
of reinforcing steel made from ASTM A-615 Grade 60 must be embedded in the
concrete, one near the top and one near the bottom of the foundation.
Tower is currently available in 33.5, 45 and 60 foot heights.
