Portable Generators - general information
Most portable generators are not enclosed and are not designed to be quiet. If you are planning on operating
one of these portable generators in a location where noise could be an issue (such as national parks) let us know db(A) limits and we can verify sound levels for model of interest. Click here for generator location information. Click here for typical appliance wattage requirements.Overhead-valve (OHV) engines cost more than side-valve engines but generally last two to four times as long. OHV engines use about 20% less fuel and oil, run cooler and produce more torque for comparable physical size. Side-valve engines are more economical to purchase and are ideal for occasional use.
All our portable generators can be used in NoOutage configurations B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6, B7.
