These uninterruptable power supply (UPS) systems are perfect when
you need automatic
unattended backup power during an outage. The APS series works well where the
electrical
loads are small. Examples include phone answering machines, FAX machines,
emergency lighting,
security systems, alarm clocks and even sump pumps and computers. For a

listed are primarily designed for critical computer, telecommunication or lab
equipment.
For automatic backup power where the loads are more than several kW you should

the use of an automatic

2) Off-line systems provide line power and switch to the battery-inverter when the line voltage falls out of spec. On-line UPS systems provide inverter output to the load continuously.

4) Line interactive AVR indicates model has automatic voltage regulation which corrects abnormal incoming line voltages rather than draining battery. Output only is derived from the battery if line voltage is so far out of spec that it cannot be corrected by the AVR.
