House UPS System
3000VA/2700 watt, 120/240VAC
(description and specs being revised)
Our House UPS systems fill a market niche between portable generators and automatic standby generators. Most power outages last less than a couple hours and these systems easily provide backup AC power for that length of time. These systems are silent and fully automatic and transfer extremely fast when line power is lost. No more guessing how long an outage will last and whether it is worth the trouble to drag out that portable generator. For most outages which are short this system eliminates that trouble!
For details about how this system operates and its advantages click here.
What is included in the NoOutage.com House UPS System?
We provide everything you need to install an operational system except for one circuit breaker that must be installed in your load center breaker panel and a connected wall outlet. If you want to be able to provide backup power for a long-term power outage you will also need a portable generator (not included). System includes the following:
| * UPS Module * Output Transformer * Maintenance bypass switch * Transfer Switch - 6 circuit * interconnecting AC jumper cables |
* AC Input Cord - 25' with NEMA L1420P
Plug * AC Output Cord with NEMA L1420C Connector * interconnecting battery jumper cables * gel cell maint-free lead acid batteries (in UPS) * battery charger (in UPS) |
We do not provide the circuit breaker for your load center panel due to the many brands of panels. Purchase one locally that fits your panel. It should be rated 30 amps. Your installer will also need to wire this breaker to a 20A 120/240VAC NEMA L1420R wall receptacle near the UPS.
What if I already have a generator transfer switch?
We can sell you this House UPS System without the transfer switch at a cost savings to you. However, be sure you have the correct type of switch. It MUST be a 120/240VAC multi-circuit transfer switch with inlet for cord on front similar to the Gen/Tran, Pro/Tran or Coleman models below. These switches allow you to INDIVIDUALLY transfer household circuits one at a time to the generator. Some switch and panel models (usually the type that have molded case circuit breakers) are not suitable because you have to transfer ALL circuits to the generator. Click any of the underlined model numbers to see details.

| NOTES: 1 - Oversized generators with automatic voltage regulators work best. 2 - This system will start most home refrigerator and freezer compressor motors. 3 - Under normal conditions batteries should last at least 3-5 years. Replacement batteries are available and can be installed by user. 4 - Battery run-time is not linear. At half the stated electrical load the run-time will be MORE than double the original value. |

Optional Features available at additional cost
The following optional features can be ordering using the drop-down menus at the bottom of this page. Click thumbnail images at right to enlarge.
External extended run-time battery module. Up to 4 maximum can be added to UPS system. Each module has short DC plug cord and connector on back to allow daisy-chaining together. X-Slot SNMP/Web Adaptor Card for management of UPS through web interface. UPS comes standard with software and serial cable but if you prefer remote control and monitoring through the web this card will do it. Fits in X-slot in rear. Includes built-in switch hub. X-slot Relay Interface Card provides dry contact interface between UPS and any external contact operated device. Individual form-C contacts provided for many UPS status conditions including utility failure, low battery, UPS alarm/Ok, or on bypass. Can be used to initiate start of standby generator or to perform other external control functions.
